NAKUPENDA – ex AVENTURA, 109' Pilothouse Sloop
The design brief for NAKUPENDA – ex AVENTURA was to create a world cruising yacht for a young family. Safety and comfort were the two most important qualities. Beauty, flexibility and ease followed suit. In true Fontaine style, NAKUPENDA – ex AVENTURA provides the owner with classic beauty married to modern technology. The centerboard gives access in coastal waters where other sister ships dare not tread. The push-button rig and fold-down stern ease the interface between wind and water.
Her interior is designed and detailed by the Fontaine Design Group. It features an owner’s cabin aft, outfitted with a double sea berth, a settee/lounge area, and an owner’s study. Forward of the berth is the owner’s head with his and hers sinks and large shower. There is a private aft egress to the aft deck from the owner’s cabin. Forward of the owner’s accommodations is a twin guest cabins, each outfitted with ensuite facilities. One of these cabins is designed specifically for the owner’s children, with access through the head to the nanny’s cabin. Engine room access is achieved via a watertight door opposite the stairs leading from the enclosed pilothouse down to the aft accommodations.
The yacht is outfitted with a fully enclosed pilothouse with dining and lounging areas arranged to provide maximum visibility. Forward of the pilothouse is open to the lower salon where a large dining area, lounge entertainment area and full bar are arranged to make extended life on board all the more comfortable. Forward of the salon is a well-appointed galley complete with laundry facilities and accommodations for three in crew.
