Nakupenda 110'
Late in 2017 our 110’ sloop Aventura was purchased on the brokerage market. The new owners are experienced sailors with a grown family. They have a great talent for purchasing and refitting real estate property and approached Fontaine Design Group to help them transform the interior layout and style to better suit their lifestyle. Working in conjunction with TASTE DESIGN of Jamestown, RI and under the guidance of Captain Clive Youlten the design and re-fit team created an inviting living space which is brighter, stylish and more casual interior and in a remarkably quick time frame.
The extent of the refit:
- Replace all original cabinetry with flat panel teak lower cabinets and flat panel white upper cabinets
- Replaced the port side dining area with L shaped settee with separate love seat.
- Replace the port side forward cabinets with art work framed television
- Replace the starboard side salon settee with a love seat and wet bar.
- Reshape pilothouse seats and cabinets
- Replace all passage way wall panels with flat panel teak lowers and white paint with fabric panel uppers
- Replace all carpeted soles with distressed teak flooring
- Redesign pilothouse dining table to create a table which can be dining or cocktail size / height
- Redesign cockpit tables to create a day bed, cocktail table height, or dining table height.
- Refinishing the existing staterooms with new surface covering, fabrics, overhead panels and lighting.
- Refinishing the existing galley with new surface covering, fabrics, overhead panels and lighting.
- New upholstery, carpets, wall covering and lighting throughout the boat.
The before and after photos are testament to what creative owner’s can achieve with just the right amount of vision and team building. A truly remarkable transformation, one we would welcome the opportunity to do again.
